2. There is only leadership when the leader is leading out in thought or action and there are people who like that leading and so follow that lead (followers).
3. Leadership is an interactive interpersonal process involving communicating, collaborating, pioneering, authenticity, integrity, congruence, contributing, giving and receiving feedback, and other key actions.
4. At the heart of leadership is envisioning and pioneering a new direction, route or pathway that delivers new value
5. Leaders are leaders only to the extent that they add value so we can identify a leader because he or she adds value to others. Those who are in roles of leadership, and who assume the title of leader, but who do not contribute to the value of the business, to clients, customers, employees, etc., are not truly leaders because they are not truly leading.
6. A true leader leads from the perspective and heart of being in service to others
7. Leadership training is about enabling the individual to self-actualise their highest and best selves in pursuit of serving others and adding new and significant value
